The fair takes place September 22 - 25, 2011, in Washington, DC, within blocks of the U.S. Capitol Building, at the Capitol Skyline Hotel. 9/23 - 10/2. WalkingTownDC and BikingTownDC - Celebrate the arts, culture & heritage of DC’s neighborhoods by taking 1 of the 175 free tours. Tours are led by historians, community leaders, business owners, artists, licensed tour guides, enthusiasts, and docents, who all donate their time and expertise for this event. Tours are offered at varying lengths and fitness levels, so it is easy to find a tour that is right for you. All tours are free and open to the public. 9/24 7pm-3am. Art All Night : Nuit Blanche DC is an all-night exploration and celebration of contemporary art, stretching from the heart of Chinatown to the Shaw neighborhood. Watch as DC’s creative community re-imagines public and private space and invites us all to see our city anew. Indoor and outdoor venues will showcase work by artists in a diverse range of media – with vibrant visual arts, street performances, live music, and DJs contributing to an unprecedented mash-up of cultural experiences in the nation’s capital.
